Payment, Cancellation and Refunds Policy

Payment

At Davis School Education, we* have an easy, multicurrency platform where you can pay securely online via your chosen method, such as by card or through PayPal and Google Pay.

You will be invoiced monthly for the following month. Each invoice is adjusted according to how many weeks you plan to attend that month, as determined by school holidays or other commitments you and the tutor may have. Please inform us of any changes by emailing us, preferably at least one week before the end of the month.

Invoices should be paid by 5th day of the month. 

Attendance

We recommend that you attend all sessions to give your child consistency and help them to get the best value from our services; however, we understand that the unexpected can happen and that life can get in the way. Our policies regarding punctuality, cancellation and refunds are as follows:

Lateness

Our tutors always endeavour to be on time, and we expect the same from the rest of our community. If you arrive late to a lesson, we cannot guarantee that your tutor will be available after your allocated time slot; therefore, sessions will end on time unless a tutor is able to do otherwise.

Our tutors are trained to spend any waiting time to doing work related to your child, such as starting to plan the next lesson or filling in data or reports. This ensures that they are still dedicating the time paid for by you to enhancing your child’s educational experience.

If a tutor arrives late, it is their responsibility to make this up to you directly after the allocated time slot, or at another arranged time. No refund will be given unless a time cannot be agreed upon between you and the tutor.

Cancellation and refunds

First Cancellation

Full refund for that session. This will be done within 72 hours, or we can charge you less the following month to compensate for the missed session.

Subsequent Cancellations

Cancellation with less than 48 hours’ notice: No refund. 

Cancellation with more than 48 hours’ notice: Full refund. This will be done within 72 hours, or we can charge you less the following month to compensate for the missed session. 

Note that, in the event of missing a group session, you will have access to the recording to review the lesson at your leisure. If you normally have a private session, we will send you a recording of a session and/or a resource that covers the same objectives, provided it already exists on our platform.

What happens if a tutor cancels a class?

Our tutors are dedicated and committed to their roles as educators. In the unlikely event that your tutor has to cancel, we will endeavour to get another tutor to substitute for the session. If this is not possible, or if you would prefer not to have a substitute, you will receive a full refund for that session. This will be done within 72 hours, or we can charge you less the following term to compensate for the missed session.
