Every child can benefit from a personal tutor, regardless of their academic level.

Asking for tutoring help is not a sign of weakness or inability—on the contrary, it shows strength, determination and resilience. Many pupils seek help outside of school for a variety of reasons, such as:

• Special or Additional Needs: Pupils with conditions like dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, or Autism deserve tailored support that we proudly offer.
• Confidence Boost: We recognise that self-assurance plays a pivotal role in learning. Our tutoring fosters confidence, empowering children to embrace their potential.
• Thirst for Challenges: For those hungry for more than what traditional classrooms offer, our tutors provide the intellectual nourishment needed to thrive.
• Homeschooling: We acknowledge that homeschooling brings unique learning dynamics. Our tutors are adept at complementing homeschooling efforts, offering a well-rounded education.

Whatever the reason, we here to support your child, helping them to grow in confidence as a learner and improve school and exam performance.

Tutoring can start at any time throughout the school year and children can start with us when they turn 4 years old.

If you are seeking a tutor for an exam, we recommend starting with us at least one full academic year before they are due to take the exam to ensure that they have the time they need to boost their confidence and learn the skills required; however, it is never too late to start. We take on pupils at any stage of their exam preparation and adapt our lessons to suit the allocated time before their exam.

Our classes are all catered to individual pupils´ needs and interests. No two lessons are the same, but all have similar qualities that suit our methodology of combining general well-being with academic success.

What You Will See in Our Lessons

What You Will NOT See in Our Lessons

• Passive Learning: We don’t believe in simply sitting and listening to a teacher without input from a pupil. Nor do we merely use workbooks or do repetitive test papers. Our lessons are active and engaging.
• One-Size-Fits-All: You won’t find a generic teaching approach here. We don’t use a one-size-fits-all method but tailor our lessons to each pupil’s needs and interests.
• Stressful Test Prep: We don’t focus solely on test preparation. While we cover relevant materials and focus on past paper practise closer to exam time, our overall emphasis is on holistic learning, not just exam success.
• Lack of Interaction: In our lessons, there’s no opportunity to sit back and not participate. Our pupils actively participate and engage, understanding that they are in charge of their own journey through the learning “pit”.
• Lack of Support: We don’t leave pupils to struggle on their own. Individual attention and guidance are central to our teaching approach, ensuring every child’s progress.

Each class lasts 55 minutes, unless otherwise agreed between you and Davis School Education. We kindly request that you arrive on time to each lesson to ensure you get the full educational experience.

Both group classes and 1:1 tutoring have their unique advantages, and the choice depends on your child´s learning style, preferences, and goals. 

1:1 Tutoring

Group Classes

As our groups are no larger than 6 children, these classes contain all of the elements of the 1:1 tuition, including personalised instruction, attention and feedback.

Your child´s safety is our top priority. We take extensive measures to ensure a secure online learning environment. All our tutoring sessions are recorded for quality assurance and safeguarding purposes. Additionally, every member of our team undergoes a thorough criminal record check, providing you with peace of mind that your child is learning from a trusted and vetted professional. Our prices vary according to to a variety of factors. See our prices page for more information.

We have an easy, multi-currency platform where you can pay securely online via your chosen method, such as by card or through PayPal and Google Pay.

You will be invoiced monthly for the following month. Each invoice is adjusted according to how many weeks you plan to attend that month, as determined by school holidays or other commitments you and the tutor may have. Please inform us of any changes by emailing us, preferably at least one week before the end of the month.

Invoices should be paid by 5th day of the month.

Your child needs to know that you see their classes as something of value; for this reason, we ask you to commit termly to ensure that we can plan our sessions accordingly.

Your first session comes with no requirement to commit. If you would like to proceed following this first session, the month is paid upfront according to how many weeks you plan to have your child attend. See “How and When do I Pay?” above for more information.

Our tutors always endeavour to be on time, and we expect the same from the rest of our community. This is to ensure that you get the full value for your money, and that your child gets the education they deserve.

If you arrive late to a lesson, our tutors will try to accommodate your missed time where possible; however, we cannot guarantee that your tutor will be available after your allocated time slot, and it is entirely at the tutor´s discretion.

To compensate for any missed lesson time, our tutors are trained to spend any waiting time to doing work related to your child, such as starting to plan the next lesson or filling in data or reports. This ensures that they are still dedicating the time paid for by you to enhancing your child’s educational experience.

If a tutor arrives late, it is their responsibility to make this up to you directly after the allocated time slot, or at another time. If this is not possible, we will refund you the cost of the missed portion of the lesson.

We recommend that you attend all sessions to give your child consistency and help them to get the best value from our services.; however, we understand that the unexpected can happen and that life can get in the way sometimes.

Our tutors are dedicated and committed to their roles as educators. In the unlikely event that your tutor has to cancel, we will endeavour to get another tutor to substitute for the session. If this is not possible, or if you would prefer not to have a substitute, you will receive a full refund for that session. This will be done within 72 hours, or we can charge you less the following term to compensate for the missed session.
